FOUNDERS OF Altroverso

Two founders
Separate responsibilities
One company truth

Altroverso is owned and led by Linda Pavan Geraedts and Paolo Maria Pavan. Linda is responsible for financial evidence, fiscal control and administrative reliability. Paolo is responsible for governance, risk, compliance and the design of workable control systems. Their responsibilities are distinct because reliable advice requires more than agreement. It requires evidence to challenge assumptions and governance to give evidence consequence.

Together, they created ONE FILE: one coherent company architecture from which different authorised stakeholders can understand the same organisation without receiving conflicting versions of its truth.

This page explains:

  • who owns Altroverso and remains accountable for its professional standard;
  • how Linda Pavan Geraedts protects the integrity of financial, fiscal and administrative evidence;
  • how Paolo Maria Pavan connects governance, risk, compliance and management exposure;
  • how failure, recovery and formal professional reconstruction inform the practice without becoming its qualification;
  • why the founders are expected to test one another’s conclusions;
  • how their combined discipline supports ONE FILE for companies, boards and authorised stakeholders.
WHY THIS PAGE MATTERS

A practice should be clear about who carries responsibility.

Altroverso is a selective, founder-led practice. Clients should be able to understand who is reading their company, what each person is qualified to judge and where external protected authority is required. Linda and Paolo do not present themselves as interchangeable advisers. Each brings a different discipline to the same facts. The quality of the work depends on keeping those responsibilities visible.

Evidence must resist interpretation

Contracts, decisions and policies mean little when financial records, filings, permissions, systems or actual behaviour tell another story. Claims must be traceable to evidence.

Interpretation must lead to action

Evidence alone does not decide responsibility, priority or treatment. It must be read in the context of governance, obligation, risk, capacity and consequence.

Leadership must accept challenge

The founders are not there to validate one another’s preferred answer. Their work is to expose contradictions inside the company before an authorised third party exposes them under pressure.

PAOLO MARIA PAVAN

Governance begins when responsibility becomes real.

Paolo Maria Pavan leads integrated governance, risk and compliance architecture at Altroverso. He reads how ownership, authority, contracts, decisions, regulatory obligations, operational risk and management behaviour affect one another. His work is directed towards practical control: determining what the company says, what it actually does, who can decide, who remains accountable, where exposure sits and what evidence can support the answer. His judgement is informed by operating experience, business collapse, recovery and formal professional reconstruction. That experience matters because it removed any distance between governance as theory and governance as consequence.

The hard lesson

Paolo’s public history includes business collapse and bankruptcy, adverse press, drinking, depression, panic and personal disorientation. It also includes recovery, renewed discipline, formal ICA study and certification, continuing professional development and the gradual reconstruction of professional judgement.

These facts are not offered as theatre, absolution or automatic qualification. Failure becomes relevant only when its consequences are faced honestly. Creditors, suppliers, employees, clients and families can carry the cost of decisions made inside a company.

The professional consequence is simple: do not allow a company to become unreadable to the people responsible for it.

What the experience clarified

  • pressure distorts judgement when roles, evidence and decision rights are weak;
  • a delayed decision can create more damage than the condition that first required it;
  • policies do not constitute control unless conduct and evidence support them;
  • apparently separate legal, fiscal, digital and operational problems often share one structural cause;
  • recovery requires truth, capacity and an ordered plan, not motivational language;
  • responsible closure can be better governance than prolonged denial.

THE PROFESSIONAL STANDARD

Experience may inform judgement. Evidence must still support it. Paolo’s past does not exempt his work from proof. It makes the demand for proof stronger.

At Altroverso, a conclusion must identify the facts on which it depends, the assumptions that remain, the authority required, the person accountable, the treatment proposed and the evidence that will show whether the treatment works.

Where a matter requires an advocate, civil-law notary, statutory auditor, tax representative, forensic expert or accredited certification body, Altroverso coordinates with the appropriate independent professional and does not claim their protected authority. The standard is not personal certainty. It is a coherent, reviewable basis for responsible action.

THE PROFESSIONAL CONSEQUENCE

1. Read before deciding

The visible problem may be a symptom. We establish the material facts, dependencies and exposures before recommending action.

2. Reconcile before relying

Statements, contracts, records, filings, systems and actual conduct must be compared. A contradiction is a fact to resolve, not an inconvenience to conceal.

3. Order before accelerating

Urgency does not remove sequence. The work identifies what must be protected now, what must be investigated next and what can be changed safely later.

4. Accept consequence before comfort

Clients receive clear language about responsibility, capacity and options. They also receive respect, confidentiality and a workable path forward where one exists.

LINDA PAVAN GERAEDTS

A company cannot be coherent if its evidence does not reconcile.

Linda Pavan Geraedts leads financial evidence, fiscal control and administrative reliability at Altroverso. Her work begins with questions that appear simple but are often decisive. Can this number be traced? Does this filing agree with the underlying record? Can the company explain the transaction, payroll decision or reporting position? Is the source authoritative? Who reviewed it, and when? Linda makes sure that governance claims meet financial and administrative reality. Her discipline protects ONE FILE from becoming an elegant description of a company that the evidence cannot support.

PARTNER

Linda Pavan Geraedts

Linda is responsible for financial evidence, fiscal-control discipline and administrative reliability. She connects formal accuracy, reporting, payroll, transaction records and operational administration to the proof required by directors, banks, insurers, auditors, certification processes and public authorities. Her standard is continuity and traceability. Information should not become reliable only when somebody asks for it. It should be maintained so that the company can explain itself at the moment a responsible decision must be made.

PARTNER

Paolo Maria Pavan

Paolo is responsible for integrated GRC architecture, risk and resilience assessment, management exposure, regulatory interpretation and the design of workable control systems. He connects obligations and market conditions to ownership, decision rights, contracts, systems, behaviour and evidence. His role is to determine where the company is exposed, which choices remain and how responsibility should become an executable plan. His judgement is informed by failure and recovery, but remains subject to evidence, professional boundaries and independent challenge.

WHY THE COMBINATION MATTERS

ONE FILE needs more than one way of seeing.

A company may be financially active but poorly governed. It may be legally organised but unable to prove its controls. Its records may be accurate while its permissions, contracts or management decisions remain unsafe. Linda and Paolo read the same company from different positions. Linda tests whether the evidence is complete, accurate, current and traceable. Paolo tests whether the structure, responsibility, controls and risk treatment are coherent. The answer is accepted only when these readings can stand together. This is not dual reporting. It is disciplined reconciliation.

01

Financial and fiscal evidence

Financial visibility, fiscal-control discipline, reporting reliability, payroll, transaction records, administrative order, missing proof and the ability to reconcile formal statements with authoritative sources.

02

Governance, risk and responsibility

Ownership logic, authority, roles, decision rights, contracts, regulatory obligations, operational exposure, risk appetite, control design and accountable management action.

03

Coherence and execution

Contradictions between the two readings, the order in which they must be resolved, the people and external professionals required, the evidence of completion and the review cycle that keeps the answer current.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR CLIENTS

You do not have to simplify the company to make it understandable.

Clients come to Altroverso while growing, changing ownership, preparing for finance or certification, responding to scrutiny, repairing control gaps, recovering after an incident or deciding whether an activity can continue responsibly. The facts may be uncomfortable, incomplete or distributed across people, paper, inboxes and systems. That does not make the organisation beyond understanding. It means the reading must be careful, confidential and properly ordered.

Directness with dignity

We name material facts, contradictions and responsibilities clearly. We do not humiliate people or reduce an organisation to its worst period.

Structure with purpose

Every document, register, control and meeting must answer a real need: authority, evidence, decision, treatment, review or accountability.

Progress that can be proved

A plan is not complete because actions were discussed. Owners, deadlines, dependencies, outputs and evidence of completion must be visible inside ONE FILE.

OUR POSITION

We make the company readable, then help responsibility become action.

Altroverso was not created to sell certainty, celebrate recovery or turn compliance into performance. It was created because organisations need a coherent place where legal structure, governance, risk, fiscal evidence, digital systems, decisions and behaviour can be read together.

Banks, insurers, regulators, auditors, investors and business partners may each require a different authorised view. Those views should still come from the same governed company truth. Linda and Paolo remain accountable for that discipline. They also remain clear about its limits.

Altroverso does not replace independent or legally protected professionals. It prepares, connects, implements and maintains the company architecture that allows their work, and the client’s own decisions, to rest on reliable facts. One company. One coherent file. Different authorised views. The same truth.
